Presentations

In a live presentation the most important part is the immediacy, the fact that performer and audience are together in one room. I usuallly don’t play a preconceived score but improvise.

Usually I have only a few electronic devices on stage and only a vague notion of ‘where I want things to go’. But once the performance starts or has started the most important part is to listen to the situation and move from there.

Through my years of experience I have learned to ‘read the room’ and find ways to draw the listener into my circle of concentration. That way everyone present travels the same journey but each experienced from a different perspective.
